King’s Elementary provides students a comprehensive physical education program in a Christ-centered environment aimed at developing cooperative social skills, healthy competition, teamwork, leadership, skill competency, and enjoyment of physical activity. Students will learn and develop skills in a variety of activities and sports they can enjoy throughout their lives. Physical education at the elementary school sets the tone for our students’ athletic journey at King’s.

Summer Camps at King’s Elementary

Our King’s Athletic Programs provide student-athletes the opportunity to mentor and disciple younger generations of athletes through our sport-specific summer camps. Every summer, our Junior High and High School student-athletes mentor elementary school students at day camps. During these few days together, elementary students learn the basics of the sport, develop their skills, and fellowship with older student-athletes. These day camps are entirely student-athlete-led.

King’s Elementary students play together in local sports leagues

Community is a large part of King’s Elementary. This community transcends into the local sports leagues our students play in. King’s elementary parents and teachers coach many of these teams. Our students have the opportunity to play alongside their classmates as they engage in healthy competition.

The King’s Elementary community offers an incredible basketball feeder program, Knight Hoops. Our Knight Hoops feeder program prepares students at a young age for junior high and high school basketball. Many of our High School athletes started playing together in elementary on Knight Hoops. King’s Junior High and High School basketball teams partner together with Knight Hoops for day camps and mentorship opportunities with the younger teams throughout the year.

Kate Taylor

Elementary School P.E. Teacher

We are so excited to welcome Kate Taylor to King’s elementary as our Physical Education teacher! Mrs. Taylor is no stranger to the King’s community with two kids as students and many years of coaching. Mrs. Taylor has been an educator for the last 20 years. She has two undergraduate degrees from Washington State University and a Master’s from the University of Washington. Mrs. Taylor is passionate about the development of young people spiritually, mentally, and physically. She says, “It is my firm belief that life was never meant to be compartmentalized. As such, I strive to help any learning community I am part of to not only acknowledge the intersection of faith with the mental and physical parts of life, but thrive in that reality.” We know God will use you in the development of our students!
