New Features

We will offer programs for children aged 12 months to 5 years old, designed to support their development during these crucial early years. For the convenience of busy families, our center will provide extended hours from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We also plan to offer a Spanish Immersion program for children ages 3 to 5, helping them build bilingual skills at an early age. All of this will take place in a secure, state-of-the-art facility specifically designed to nurture and inspire young learners.

King’s Early Learning Center provides:

  • Toddler Program (12 months – 2 years) with full-day care and an enriching environment.
  • Younger Preschool (2-3 years) with full-day options
  • Preschool (3-4 years) with full-day options and half day options
  • Pre-Kindergarten (4-5 years) with full-day and half-day options.
  • Extended Care before and after school for enrolled children.
  • Toddler & Full-Day Preschool/Pre-K: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Half-Day Preschool/Pre-K: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • Extended Care: Available before and after school for an additional fee. Morning ( 7am to 8:30 am) Afternoon ( 3:15 pm to 6 pm)

Late pickup fees apply beyond designated pickup times at a rate of $10 per minute.

Children must be 12 months old to enroll in the toddler program.

Yes, our staff provides regular diaper changes for children in the toddler program.

  • Toddlers (12 months – 2 years): No potty training required.
  • Preschool (3 years and up): Children must be fully potty-trained.

If your child is sick, please email [email protected], message through Brightwheel, or call (206) 546-7263. Children must be symptom-free (without medication) for 24 hours before returning to school.

If a child shows symptoms of illness, their temperature will be checked, and parents may be called for pickup.

Medications Administered at School

  • Prescription and over-the-counter medications require a Medication Administration Form signed by a parent and, if applicable, a physician.’
  • This includes sunscreen, lotion, lip balm, and toothpaste.
  • Forms must be updated annually.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

  • All children must be signed in and out daily by a parent/guardian.
  • Parents must walk their child into the building; children may not enter alone.
  • The center is a secure facility; visitors must check in at the office.

Meals and Snacks

  • Toddlers & Preschoolers: Two snacks provided daily.
  • Parents provide lunch, following USDA CACFP guidelines (including protein, fruit, and vegetables).
  • Milk is provided.
  • King’s Early Learning Center is a nut-free facility.

Rest Periods

  • All toddlers and preschoolers have a scheduled rest period after lunch.
  • Families must provide a crib-sized fitted sheet and blanket (labeled, taken home weekly for washing).
  • A small comfort toy is allowed

King’s Preschool is our current program for early learning, serving students from 2.5-5 years old. King’s Early Learning Center will be a new facility that expands this program with additional classrooms to serve a wider range of students with even more care.

  • Monthly: Brightwheel updates include snack menus and calendars.
  • Weekly: Newsletters,Classroom updates and important announcements.
  • As needed: Incident reports and school-wide communication.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Offered twice a year to discuss developmental milestones.
  • Additional meetings can be scheduled upon request
  • Secure entry (Door codes not to be shared with anyone).
  • Gated outdoor play areas with additional safety latches.
  • All staff are CPR and First Aid certified.

Emergency Closures

Notifications via Brightwheel, Parent communication and the school website

  • Only for Show & Share Days (as coordinated with the teacher).
  • The school is not responsible for lost or damaged toys.
  • Parents may bring nut-free store-bought treats, fruit trays, or pre-approved snacks.
  • Notify teachers in advance to plan a simple celebration.
  • Parents and visitors must check in at the office.
  • Volunteer opportunities can be discussed with teachers.

Teachers and staff are not permitted to babysit for enrolled families to maintain professional boundaries.

Parents and staff should maintain professional relationships; personal networking is discouraged unless pre-existing.

While the King’s Early Learning Center will be replacing the King’s Preschool, current students will be given first right of refusal for enrollment. Enrolling your student in King’s Preschool will ensure their spot is saved in the updated Early Learning Center.
